We need to set down some defined standards to cover the basics of the hardware we are willing to support and to guide in the development of future boards.

From what I gather, after seeing LINK stuff, is simon is 1000% correct. Brain board on base board for anything thats not space restricted.
For space restricted stuff, some things CAN be modules. Example is WBO&EGT. Simon has condensed it to such a level that theres no more room that can be gained from it, short of maybe moving low sides if theres any less space. Power circuit probably too.
It seems we have power circuits down to a T, and it should be designed or reused in the same way in almost every package.
